Glorify God Among the Nations
Every year on the first Thursday of May, Christians across every state and community gather to pray in churches, in schools, in front of courthouses, and in neighborhoods. National Day of Prayer is a unifying moment for the entire nation, a day when God’s people set aside their differences and lift one voice together to seek Him.
Our Vision This Year
This year, God is calling us to do something different in our community, something simple, reproducible, and powerful. Rather than gathering in one or two places to pray, we want to see thousands of believers spread across our community, praying on their front lawns for their neighbors, our city, our country, and our world. This is the church being the church, right where we live. Coordinated through Churches for the City, we are inviting every Christian and every church in our area to join together on this one day.

Churches for the City does not nationally coordinate National Day of Prayer, but rather we are group of pastors and churches in the south central part of the Dallas Fort Worth area who work together to honor God and bring Jesus to our communities."
